Paladone Water Pistol
In collaboration with Paladone, a global leader in licensed consumer products, I developed a Minecraft-inspired light-up water pistol—a playful, functional toy designed to align with Paladone’s brand identity and their popular Minecraft product line.
The project responded to a live brief focusing on fun, innovation, and sustainable thinking in lighting-based products. Drawing inspiration from Minecraft’s glow squid and aquatic themes, I designed a light-up water blaster with a soft, squeezable silicone body and an integrated waterproof LED module. The design features a refillable pressurised bladder system that uses suction to reload water—ensuring an engaging, repeatable user interaction. The lighting element activates when in contact with water, adding excitement and visual appeal.
I explored multiple materials, manufacturing processes (including TPU 3D prototyping and blow moulding), and electronics (IP68-rated waterproofing and replaceable batteries). The final concept was both technically feasible and commercially aligned with Paladone’s production capabilities and licensing strategy.
