About Me

Hi i’m Max

A smiling man with dark curly hair and a beard, wearing a blue Snoopy T-shirt with sunglasses and a red cap, standing in front of a blackboard with colorful writing and a large wooden letter 'US'.

I’m a UK-based product designer with a First Class degree in Product Design (BSc). My design focus is on creating thoughtful, functional objects that make your everyday life a little better.

My approach combines sustainability and curiosity for what’s next. Whether I’m designing for wellbeing, homeware, or play, I create products that are honest, intuitive, and built for longevity. I value hands-on making, iterative thinking, and design that serves a clear purpose. I am often inspired from nature, familiar rituals, and subtle storytelling to further my products.

Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to work on a wide range of projects from developing a smart fermentation monitor, a surf & vanlife magazine and a Surfboard Stacking game. I’ve also worked closely with big brands like Bird & Blend Tea Co. and Big Potato Games. I was proud to win the University of Sussex Dyson Award & The Product Design Team Award For Most Circular Final Year Project well as be selected to exhibit at New Designers 2024 & 2025.

At the centre of everything I do is design that’s grounded, meaningful, and subtly innovative. I care about the details, the way things feel in the hand, and the stories they tell.

My Values

Sustainability

I approach every project with an focus toward longevity and minimal impact. For me, sustainability isn't an afterthought, it's a thought through, essential aspect of every design-from the initial sketches to how the product is repaired or broken down at the end of life.

Honesty

My designs are built on honesty. This means being transparent about materials used, capabilities, and timelines. Always being able to take and give direct and constructive feedback to deliver the most authentic and effective solutions.

Collaboration

Great products are never made individually. I thrive on collaboration, working closely with engineers, manufacturers and stakeholders to combine different perspectives and knowledge into market-ready, and successful designs.

Humility

My humility is focused in prioritizing the users, the real humans who will actually use the product. It means accepting that I am not the user; the user is. I approach every project with the understanding that their needs, frustrations, and behaviours must be the forefront of all design decisions, ensuring the final product truly benefits the user.
