About Me
Hi, I’m Max Walton, a UK-based product designer with a background in Product Design (BSc) and a focus on creating thoughtful, functional objects that make everyday life a little better.
My approach combines a respect for tradition with a curiosity for what’s next. Whether I’m designing for wellbeing, sustainability, or play, I aim to create products that are honest, intuitive, and built to last. I value hands-on making, iterative thinking, and design that serves a clear purpose. I often draw from natural systems, familiar rituals, and subtle storytelling to further my products.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to work on a wide range of projects from developing a smart fermentation tool for beginners, to designing a coastal watch box with Schofield Watch Company and created a Minecraft-inspired toy in collaboration with Paladone. I’ve worked closely with brands like Bird & Blend Tea Co. and Big Potato Games. I was proud to win the University of Sussex Dyson Award, as well as be selected to exhibit at New Designers 2024 & 2025.
At the core of everything I do is a belief in design that’s grounded, meaningful, and quietly innovative. I care about the details, the way things feel in the hand, and the stories they tell.
